Chrome Cowgirl Privacy Policy

Chrome Creative (Pty) Ltd, trading as Chrome Cowgirl, respects your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect.

• Order information: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and order details — collected when you place an order.
• Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
• Marketing information: your email address, if you sign up to our mailing list or opt in at checkout.
• Technical information: cookies and similar technologies collect device and browsing data (pages visited, referral source) to make the site work and to measure our advertising.

How we use it.

• To process and deliver your orders, send order and shipping confirmations, and provide customer support.
• To send marketing emails if you've opted in — every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing never affects your orders.
• To invite you to review products you've purchased.
• To measure and improve our website and advertising.

Who we share it with. We share personal information only with service providers who need it to serve you: our ecommerce platform (Shopify), payment processor, courier and shipping partners, email service provider, review platform, and advertising/analytics partners (including Meta). Each provider processes your information under their own security and privacy obligations. Some providers store data outside South Africa; where this happens, it is protected by contractual safeguards consistent with POPIA. We never sell your personal information.

Cookies and advertising. We use cookies and similar tools (including the Meta pixel) to keep your cart working, understand site traffic, and show relevant ads. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

How long we keep it. Order records are retained as required for tax and accounting law. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your rights under POPIA. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email hello@chromecowgirl.co.za and we'll action your request. If you believe your information has been mishandled, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
